Whether you are on your own or own a mega private company you will need to have some sort of security for all of your computer based tools From bedroom offices to boardrooms, businesses of all sizes can reach a global audience efficiently and effectively and, if you keep customer data on any kind of device, you will have to look at some method of cyber security to protect it, your reputation and your client.

  • Train yourself and your colleagues in security principles such as creating strong passwords, perhaps consider writing up a IT Management Policy even if you are on your own.
  • Limit the access to employees to what they need to carry out their role.
  • Ensure all your mobile, laptop and USB/Memory sticks are encrypted.
  • Have good security software, web browser and operating system.
  • Regularly back up your data.
  • Encrypt and hide your WiFi connections.
  • Ensure you and your colleague employ best practice for card payments.
